My first camera was a Kodak Brownie 127. It took 12 or 24 shots according to the film that was loaded. You wound it on after each shot and a small red window showed a counter on the film. When full the film was removed, returned to its black plastic container and taken to Boots (usually) for developing and processing. Some days later you could see the results of your handiwork.

When I closed down the West Malling website in 2019 I wanted to preserve more than 3,000 memories that readers had submitted.
I therefore sanitised the entries, removing potentially contentious material, personal emails etc and reformatted them into book form.

My dad kept painstaking records of his vehicles. Apart from maintaining a diary throughout his life he kept meticulous records of every bicycle and car journey.
My record-keeping is very lax by comparison, but with the decreasing tolerance of vehicle engine emissions it seems an appropriate time to pen a book on the various cars I've had over the years - with a few diversions en route.
